Application form

The ICE PhD Application Form will be available on-line till January 13, 2014 (official deadline of ICE Call for Application).

Applicants have to register here. After successfully registering, login and start your application following the link in the block "Application form" in upper-left side of the page.

Please read carefully the call for application and in particular Article 2 and Article 3 concerning conditions and requirements for application to EMJD ICE PhD.

All the information and personal data provided will be sent to the Agency (EACEA) and may be used by other bodies involved in the management of Erasmus Mundus (i.e. European Commission, Erasmus Mundus National Structures, EU Delegations, Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association) for facilitating the doctoral candidate access to the joint programme.

A brief outline of application rules in provided in the following.

Instructions for applicants:

A maximum of 3 (three) applications to different EMJDS is allowed.

The Application Form has to be filled in all sections.

Please write in indicated boxes and provide all the requested documents.

Application forms not properly filled or missing one or more file in attachment will not be considered for evaluation by ICE Consortium.

A 2nd Cycle academic degree, for an overall duration of at least 5 years, must have been completed at the expiry time of this call for application or must be achieved by at least July 31st, 2014.

Non-native English speaker candidates not entitled with a recognized international English test Certificate (e.g. ELTS min: 6.5; TOEFL min: 220 CBT, 550 PBT, 80 iBT; TOEIC min: 780) will be directly excluded.

EMJD ICE consortium considers the countries listed below as countries of native speakers: Antigua, Australia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Barbuda, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, Canada (except Quebec), Commonwealth Caribbean, Dominica, Fiji, Ghana, Grand Cayman, Islands, Grenada, Guyana, Irish Republic, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa (If Afrikaans is not, native language), St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tobago, Trinidad, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Virgin Islands, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

The candidates coming from these countries are not required to attach any other evidence of English proficiency.

In addition, candidates coming from any other country may be considered as native English speakers, if they have completed a Master's program in a native English speaking country listed here: Brunei, Cameroon, Canada, Ethiopia, Gambia, India, Israel, Kiribati, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Namibia, Nauru, Pakistan, Palau, Philippines, Rwanda, Samoa, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu. In this case, attachment of Thesis is mandatory.

Also, candidates who have followed a degree programme fully taught in English in any other country, will be considered as native English speakers in case of submission of two mandatory documents: (1) an official certificate of the awarding university duly signed by a university representative stating that the official teaching language is English, and (2) the Master thesis written in English.

All other candidates are required to attach English test certificate.

Each applicants must attach a self-certifying statement concerning the truthfulness of the statements given and the authenticity of the documents attached to the application. This statement must be submitted using the form available here, which must be printed out, filled in and signed by the person concerned and attached by means of the online procedure.

All attached files must be either in pdf or jpeg format.

ICE Consortium rejects any responsibility in case of submission of applications attaching files with different formats.

The deadline for applicants is 13 January 2014.

 

Applicants who will express their intention of participating also or only to additional granted places selection will be informed via e-mail of the result of their application twice.

After the successful completion of the application procedure, applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail, in which there is a link for confirming definitively the application form. In case the applicant will not receive any communication concerning the receipt of the application within 7 days he/she is asked to contact ICE coordinating team at icephd@dibe.unige.it.
